Hanging and Maintenance of Best Bat Beds

  • Hang 10’ to 15’ off the ground to protect against predators 
  •  The Duplex & Single Suite have many hanging options.  Roosting Bat should be against a wall.
  • Providing a bat house will keep bats out of unwelcome areas in your house, garage, barn or shed.
  • Keep watch for aggressive bee infestations as the bats will abandon the bat house if bees take over. Try knocking the hive out at night or in the cooler winter months when bees are less active.
  • Do not disturb the bat house once a colony has moved in. Some bats migrate, but some bat species hibernate and stay all winter long.
  • Along with a good shelter and plentiful food sources, bats also need a clean water source.
